Ashanti Regional Minister Dr. Frank Amoakohene has dismissed allegations that vendors at the Kumasi railway market were not given prior notice before the demolition.
Speaking to the media, he clarified that all affected individuals were properly registered and will receive adequate compensation.
He explained that the claims that vendors were taken by surprise are untrue and they were informed well in advance.
He assured the public that the government remains committed to supporting those impacted by the redevelopment project.
The minister urged affected vendors to remain calm as authorities finalize compensation arrangements.
