The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration has issued a cautionary advisory to Ghanaians, advising against travel to conflict areas and countries experiencing warfare unless absolutely necessary.
The ministry also highlights the importance of vigilance regarding individuals who offer services to secure citizenship, residency permits, or job placements in these conflict-ridden regions. Such endeavors are deemed hazardous and often result in severe consequences.
In a statement released on Monday, March 25, 2024, the ministry underscores the significance of prioritizing personal safety and well-being, particularly when contemplating job opportunities in regions susceptible to conscription and armed conflict.
“In light of ongoing conflicts and the risk of conscription in certain countries or regions around the world, travellers are strongly advised to exercise caution and carefully consider their travel plans,” parts of the statement read.
