Former spokesperson for the 2024 Bawumia Campaign, Dennis Miracles Aboagye, has asserted that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia remains the most marketable and strategic option for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to win the 2028 general election.
Speaking at the NPP headquarters during the filing of nomination forms, he declared: “He has a clear plan for NPP and the country Ghana.”
Addressing ABC News GH’s Samuel Nyigmabo, Mr. Aboagye revealed that the campaign machinery is already mobilizing grassroots support across the country. “From today we are going to move to our people and get Bawumia to get elected for NPP,” he emphasized, highlighting the campaign’s resolve to consolidate momentum behind Dr. Bawumia.
He added that the Vice President’s track record and public image make him the most marketable candidate to secure victory in 2028. According to him, the NPP’s chances of winning hinge on a flagbearer who can both inspire confidence within the party and appeal broadly to the Ghanaian electorate.
With his filing completed, Dr. Bawumia is expected to intensify his engagement with party delegates nationwide as he seeks to translate his strong support base into an outright victory at the primaries.
