Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the Presidential candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has made a groundbreaking pledge to integrate a recruitment quota for Persons with Disabilities in all government job openings.
Speaking to a fervent crowd of party supporters in La Dadekotopon, Bawumia committed to ensuring that individuals with disabilities receive free tertiary education and a guaranteed recruitment quota if elected as President in the upcoming 2024 elections.
Bawumia’s announcement reflects a broader vision of inclusivity and empowerment for all Ghanaians.
In his address following a visit to the La Traditional Council in Accra, he contrasted his forward-looking policies with those of his opponent, John Dramani Mahama.
The vice president criticized Mahama’s approach, notably his proposal for a 24-hour economy featuring nightclubs, which Bawumia deemed irrelevant to Ghana’s economic advancement.
With a clear call for progress, Bawumia emphasized the NPP’s dedication to innovative solutions and job creation.
He asserted that the upcoming election is a choice between embracing a future of digital advancement and prosperity or reverting to outdated policies.
“This election is about whether we are going into the future or going into the past,” Bawumia stated, underscoring his commitment to a new direction for Ghana’s development.
