Vice President and Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has vowed to grant tax amnesties to business groups and individuals, if elected as President in the upcoming 2024 general elections.
Speaking at a business forum in Accra, he emphasized the importance of private sector growth in driving economic development and pledged to implement policies that would support business led and encourage investment.
Delivering his address, he said, “We are going to start with a clean slate in 2025, and that is why in 2025, we are going to grant a tax amnesty to all businesses and individuals and start afresh.”
“All businesses and individuals will have a tax amnesty and we will start afresh,” he emphasized.
The Vice President’s remarks were met with optimism from business leaders in attendance, who expressed confidence in the government’s commitment to fostering a more business-friendly environment.
