President John Dramani Mahama has reaffirmed his government’s commitment to modernizing and expanding sports infrastructure across the country.
Speaking during his State of the Nation Address on February 27, 2025, he emphasized the importance of upgrading facilities to support sports development at all levels.
“Infrastructure development remains paramount in our strategy. The government is committed to refurbishing existing national stadia, completing youth resource centers, and constructing new sports facilities in the newly created regions,” President Mahama stated.
The initiative aims to improve training and competition venues for Ghanaian athletes while ensuring that sports facilities are accessible across all regions. The completion of youth resource centers is expected to provide modern amenities for grassroots talent development.
