The Electoral Commission (EC) on December 21 successfully re-collated and declared results for seven of nine disputed constituencies from the 2024 general elections, with all outcomes favoring the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
The exercise followed a High Court ruling mandating the EC to re-collate results amidst legal resistance from the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
The NDC has rejected the outcomes, describing the EC’s actions as unlawful.

Pending Results
Results for Ablekuma North and Dome Kwabenya remain suspended pending further directives from the EC.
NDC’s Position
In a December 21 statement, the NDC rejected the declared results, accusing the EC of violating due process and promising to pursue legal and political remedies.
Background
The re-collation process stemmed from a High Court directive on December 20 following petitions by six NPP parliamentary candidates citing irregularities in the collation process. The NDC’s attempt to join the case was dismissed by the Court.
The EC noted that the re-collation exercise was conducted without incidents of intimidation or disruptions, ensuring a transparent process.
