Financial analyst Dr. Seyram Kawor has criticized the exclusion of the minority from the recently concluded National Economic Dialogue, stressing that all political stakeholders should have been involved.
Speaking on Prime News on ABC News GH, he argued that national economic discussions should be inclusive, regardless of political affiliation.
“They are also citizens of the country. They should have been invited and should have taken part in this particular dialogue,” Dr. Kawor stated.
He further emphasized that the dialogue should not be a one-time event but an ongoing process that engages the entire populace.
“This should not be the end of it. We need more town hall meetings in our various towns and educational institutions,” he urged.
Dr. Kawor believes that broader engagement will help shape policies that truly address the economic concerns of all Ghanaians.
His comments come after a two-day National Economic Dialogue featuring key government officials and institutional heads.
Notably, Finance Minister Ato Forson called for public support in educating citizens on upcoming economic reforms, while Energy Minister John Jinapor highlighted the urgent need to transition from liquid fuel to gas-powered energy solutions to cut costs and improve efficiency.
