Vice President and Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia today officially filed his nomination at the Electoral Commission (EC) headquarters, solidifying his bid to become the presidential candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the upcoming 2024 general elections.
Dr. Bawumia was accompanied by key party officials, supporters, and family members who rallied behind him as he submitted his nomination forms to the Electoral Commission Chairperson, Jean Mensa. He is expected to deliver a speech at the NPP’s party office in Accra right after this exercise to express his gratitude to his supporters and the NPP leadership for the trust they have placed in him.
Meanwhile, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama will be submitting his nomination today at 2pm. He made this revelation earlier in a post he shared via social media.
