Tanko Gbagbara, public relations officer for the Ministry of Agriculture, has assured Ghanaians that the newly launched Feed Ghana Programme will be implemented at the local level.
Speaking on ABC in the Morning, Gbagbara noted that any Ghanaian interested in participating simply needs to visit their district agricultural office to enrol in the program.
This announcement comes in the wake of the official launch of the Feed Ghana Programme on April 12 in Techiman by President John Dramani Mahama.
The initiative aims to revitalise Ghana’s food systems, reduce reliance on imports, and generate sustainable employment opportunities particularly for the youth. It aligns with the government’s broader vision of leveraging agriculture for economic development.
Tanko Gbagbara has reiterated the ministry’s commitment to keeping the Feed Ghana Programme free from political influence.
Gbagbara emphasised that the programme represents a transformative step toward revitalising the nation’s agricultural sector—a national revolution in food security and rural development.
He stressed that the initiative is not tied to any political party but rather aims to uplift all Ghanaians through sustainable agriculture. According to him, the Ministry remains firmly dedicated to ensuring the success of the programme for the collective benefit of the country.
