Former Member of Parliament for Afram Plains North and aspiring National Women’s Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Hon. Seyram Betty Krosbi Mensah, has congratulated Dr. Pamela Graham on her historic appointment as Ghana’s first female Auditor-General.
In a congratulatory message, Hon. Krosbi Mensah joined millions of Ghanaians in celebrating Dr. Graham’s appointment and swearing-in as the 11th Auditor-General of the Republic of Ghana and the first woman to hold the constitutional office.
“I have every confidence in your capacity to excel in this important national assignment,” she stated.
Hon. Krosbi Mensah described the appointment as both a personal milestone for Dr. Graham and a significant achievement for women across Ghana, saying it affirms that women possess the competence, integrity, and leadership qualities required to excel when given the opportunity.
She further noted that under the leadership of President Mahama, Ghana continues to witness the practical implementation of the Affirmative Action Act, creating greater opportunities for women to serve in key leadership positions.
According to her, Dr. Graham’s appointment sends a strong message that women are increasingly breaking barriers in public service and governance, while inspiring more young women and girls to aspire to leadership roles and contribute meaningfully to national development.
Hon. Krosbi Mensah described the appointment as a victory for women and girls across the country, stating that Dr. Graham’s achievement demonstrates that hard work, competence, and merit are recognised and rewarded.
She also expressed confidence that Dr. Graham would leave a lasting legacy at the Ghana Audit Service by strengthening transparency, accountability, and good governance.
Hon. Krosbi Mensah concluded by wishing Dr. Graham God’s wisdom, strength, and integrity as she assumes the responsibilities of the high office, expressing optimism that her tenure would inspire future generations of women leaders.
