The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration has recently entered into a visa waiver agreement with the Commonwealth of the Bahamas. According to a circular issued by the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) on February 20, this agreement seeks to address and prevent challenges and inconveniences encountered by travelers between Ghana and the Bahamas who may not be aware of the visa requirements.
The visa waiver agreement applies to holders of diplomatic, service, and ordinary passports, aiming to facilitate smoother travel experiences for individuals holding these passport types between the two countries. This initiative reflects the commitment of both Ghana and the Bahamas to enhance bilateral relations and promote seamless interactions between their citizens.
“Per the note, the Government of Bahamas wishes to apprise the relevant competent Ghanaian aviation authorities, airline companies and services of the signed agreement. All OIC’s of entry and points and relevant sections are to take note of the above information and act accordingly.”
