The Ghana-Russia Center for Commerce and Relations recently led a delegation to the United Arab Emirates Embassy in Accra, where they were received by H.E. Amer Ali Al Alawi, the UAE Head of Mission to Ghana.
The discussions centered around exploring business opportunities and enhancing socio-economic collaboration between the Center and the UAE, with a particular focus on youth engagement.
“The presence of young professionals in the delegation underscored the future focus on engaging the youth in economic and diplomatic activities that can contribute to national prosperity,” stated H.E. Al Alawi, highlighting the importance of youth in these initiatives.
The delegation, led by Founder and CEO John Aggrey, included key members such as Head of Communications Michael Acquah, Head of Business Development and Innovations Ziona Ayorkor Biney, and Head of International Projects Kow Korankye Taylor.
During the meeting, discussions covered potential collaborations in education, tourism, technology, and climate change, with an emphasis on youth as focal actors.
One emphasized proposal was the establishment of a framework for technical exchange programs and innovative sustainable projects aimed at empowering both Ghanaian and Emirati youth.
H.E. Al Alawi expressed enthusiasm for these initiatives, emphasizing the UAE’s commitment to supporting youth development through strategic partnerships.
Looking ahead, the Ghana-Russia Center and the UAE Embassy plan to host joint workshops and investment forums, aiming to connect entrepreneurs and investors from both regions.
These initiatives are designed to foster dialogue, share best practices, and enhance business opportunities, all while promoting cultural exchange and mutual understanding.
By creating pathways for youth to engage in various sectors, both nations aspire to build sustainable economies that are resilient and forward-looking.
