The Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) and the MIE Group, Dubai, organizers of the China Trade Week, have joined forces to launch the 20th edition of the prestigious Ghana Club 100 Awards.

This milestone event which took place on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, marks the inauguration of the Ghana Investment and Trade Week, a unique platform designed to promote investment, trade, and knowledge exchange.

Themed “Accelerating Economic Growth: Amplifying Ghana’s Global Market Footprint through AFCFTA,” this year’s edition of the Ghana Club 100 Awards promises to be grander and more impactful than ever before. The event will be hosted at the esteemed Grande arena of the Accra International Conference Centre, and it is scheduled to take place from the 23rd to the 27th of October 2023.

The CEO of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre, Yofi Grant, expressed his excitement about the event, emphasizing the significance of the collaboration between GIPC and the MIE Group in attracting potential investors from all corners of the world. Mr. Grant stated, “this collaboration will amplify the Ghana and Africa story to a broader audience of potential investors from around the world. The event will not only showcase top companies in Ghana but also celebrate their achievements. The ultimate goal is for us to forge valuable partnerships and attract Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) to accelerate development and economic growth in the country.”

Zahoor Ahmed, Vice President of Strategy and Partnerships at MIE Groups, Dubai, echoed Grant’s sentiments, highlighting the shared mandate of promoting global FDI. He said, “This partnership with GIPC is a continuation of our journey to develop the ‘Ghana Investment Trade Week.’ It’s a unique collaboration that will bring together global focus from Key Source Markets from Asia, the Middle East & Europe to view and discover FDI opportunities in Ghana.”

The Ghana Investment and Trade Week, set to be a week-long extravaganza, will feature a lineup of over 300 exhibitors, more than 100 speakers and presentations, and host more than 50 workshops. This diverse array of participants promises to create a dynamic platform for businesses, investors, and stakeholders to collaborate, exchange knowledge, and explore investment opportunities in Ghana.

The highlight of the Ghana Investment and Trade Week will be the much-anticipated Ghana Club 100 Awards ceremony, scheduled for Friday, 27th October 2023. The awards ceremony will recognize and celebrate the outstanding achievements of top-performing companies in Ghana, showcasing their contributions to the country’s economic growth and development.

As Ghana takes significant strides towards positioning itself as an attractive destination for investment and trade in the African continent, the GIPC and MIE Group’s partnership signals a strong commitment to fostering economic growth, development, and prosperity in the nation. With a focus on the AFCFTA agreement, this event aims to attract more foreign direct investment and strengthen Ghana’s global market footprint.

The 20th edition of the Ghana Club 100 Awards and the inaugural Ghana Investment and Trade Week are set to redefine the landscape of investment and trade in Ghana, ushering in new opportunities and partnerships that will propel the nation’s economic growth to greater heights.
