Senior Analyst at Global Info Analytics, Salam Nsiah, has projected that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) stands a chance of winning the upcoming Kpandai parliamentary re-run slated for December 30.
Speaking in an interview on ABC In The Morning, Mr. Nsiah explained that recent voter behaviour and shifting political dynamics in the constituency point to a possible victory for the NDC.
According to him, party affiliation for the NDC has increased significantly since the 2024 general elections. He noted that the party’s support base appears to have expanded, partly due to dissatisfaction among some traditional New Patriotic Party (NPP) supporters.
“NDC has a chance of winning the seat,” he stated, stressing that the numbers suggest a favourable outcome for the ruling party if the trend holds.
Mr. Nsiah further attributed the changing political mood to the presence of disgruntled NPP members and floating voters who are gradually aligning with the NDC. He indicated that this shift was evident in the 2024 election figures and may become even more pronounced in the re-run.
“The numbers might have increased [during the 2024 elections] because we have some disgruntled NPP people and some floating voters who are aligning with the NDC,” he added.
The Kpandai seat, which has become one of the most closely watched contests, is expected to produce a tight race as both the NPP and the NDC intensify their efforts to secure victory.
