The parliamentary candidate for Trobu constituency, Gloria Owusu has declared an agenda to garner 100,000 votes in Trobu for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2024 general elections.
Speaking at a Thanksgiving rally on Sunday, 3rd March 2024, she acknowledged that it won’t be an easy task but encouraged all party enthusiasts to come together and work towards achieving this goal to help the NPP break the Eight(8). Madam Owusu also took the opportunity to thank the people of the Trobu constituency for their continued support.
“This is a new beginning for our party and our country. We must be united in our efforts to make Ghana a better place for all. We will work towards achieving 100,000 votes for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and Gloria Owusu in Trobu Constituency to help Break the Eight(8)”, she stressed.
“It will not be an easy task, but I am confident that we can achieve this goal if we all come together and put in the effort,” she added.
The event was attended by several party members and residents within the constituency, who came together to show their support for the NPP and its candidate, Gloria Owusu. The atmosphere was electric, as supporters chanted slogans and waved flags in support of the party and Gloria Owusu.
Notable figures in attendance were the Director General for SIGA and Former National General Secretary of the Party, Mr. John Boadu, Chief of Aladjo, Nii Armah Adjor II, NPP parliamentary candidate for Ododiodiodo, Manaf Sowah, renowed gospel singer, Diana Asamoah and other major stakeholders in the constituency.
The new NPP parliamentary candidate for Trobu, Gloria Owusu managed to defeat the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP), Moses Anim, with over fifty (50) votes in the recent NPP parliamentary primaries held on January 27, 2024.
