The government has urged businesses to adopt responsible practices and work more closely with the public sector to support sustainable economic growth and national development.
Presidential Adviser on National Resilience and Emergency Preparedness, Ernest Brogya Genfi, made the call while representing the Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, at the Ghana Converge Summit 2026 held at the Royal Fiesta Hotel.
Mr Brogya Genfi said Ghana’s prosperity depends on a strong partnership between a government that provides an enabling environment and a private sector that invests, innovates and grows responsibly.

He cautioned businesses against pursuing profits at the expense of consumers, communities and the environment.
According to him, economic growth that overlooks social responsibility cannot be considered sustainable or secure.
He described ethical business practices as both a moral responsibility and an economic necessity, saying they provide a foundation for lasting economic growth, investor confidence and national development.
Mr Brogya Genfi further said the government remains committed to strengthening policies and creating a stable and supportive economic environment to enable businesses to invest, expand and create jobs.
He added that government would continue to collaborate with the private sector to promote responsible investment and ensure that the benefits of economic development extend to society as a whole.
