The Acting managing Director of the Ghana Publishing Company Limited, Nana Kwasi Boatey Esq., on Tuesday April 8, 2025 paid a courtesy call on the Managing Director of the State Housing Company Limited, John Sheriff Bawa and a section of the management.

Discussions following the visit centered on areas of mutual benefits, collaborations on how the two State-owned entities can explore viable business opportunities in delivering value to their customers and the general public.

The Managing Director of the SHC, John Bawa, in his remark said initial conversations with Nana Kwasi Boatey Esq. privately, prior to the courtesy call has largely been about strengthen collaborations and business opportunities among State-owned enterprises.

“We’ve had an extensive discussion on this topic and our discussion has gone beyond just Ghana Publishing Company Ltd. and State Housing Company to why agencies within the government sector must do business with each other…”, John Bawa said.

“…it is an agenda I’m passionate about and so our team here know my stand on some of these things …” he added.

Mr. John Bawa assured the MD’s request will be considered.

He, however, seized the occasion to avert Nana Kwasi Boatey’s attention to a persistent issue of unauthentic gazettes or forged receipts which are sometimes submitted by spouses or individuals to claim ownership of properties.

According to the Head of Legal of the SHC, Madam Rita Duffie, it is frustrating for some clients who come with property documents with their names altered which has to be gazetted, but the undue delays in gazetting them frustrates the property acquisition process.

Hence, the imperativeness to have some arrangements with the GPCL to get a liaison officer to facilitate gazette acquisition and verification on time.

Nana Kwasi Boatey assured the Head of Legal that her request will be considered,
“…in fact, there are a lot of organizations we do that with. They bring us their gazetting in bulk and we send them a bill after… there are a lot of opportunities,” he said.

The discussions were concluded with both parties expressing optimism and a sign of unflinching commitment to implementing the propositions submitted.

Present at the were some members of the management of SHC including Deputy Managing Director, Mr. Sam Atuquaye Quaye, the Head of Legals, Madam Rita Duffie, Head of Development, Mr. Daniel Dwamena.

The Acting Managing Director of the GPCL, Nana Kwasi Boatey was accompanied by the Corporate Affairs Manager, Lantam Papanko and the Assistant Administrative Manager, Joshua Nana Kwame Ayira.
