Dr. Dominic Ayine, Attorney General and Minister of Justice, has announced plans to meet with the Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) Committee next week to assess its progress in investigating looted public assets.
“The ORAL committee and I will be meeting somewhere early next week, most likely on Monday, and I will be briefed by them in respect of what they have gathered so far. Of course, I will take over the information that they have gathered,” Dr. Ayine said.
The ORAL Committee is currently handling over 700 public petitions as part of its mandate to gather and verify information on suspected corruption.
Dr. Ayine emphasized that the meeting will shape the next steps in the recovery process, advancing the government’s anti-corruption efforts.
Reiterating the government’s commitment to transparency, President John Dramani Mahama called for integrity during the swearing-in of six new ministers on January 22, 2025.
“It cannot be business as usual. We must be transparent and fair in all our dealings,” President Mahama urged.
