Ghana head coach Otto Addo has announced his latest Black Stars squad, introducing three fresh faces ahead of the team’s upcoming international friendlies against Japan and South Korea.
The debutants include Prince Kwabena Adu, who plays in the Czech Republic, Medeama SC winger Kelvin Nkrumah, and CF Montreal forward Prince Osei Owusu.
Former Bechem United striker Prince Kwabena Adu earns his first senior call-up after an impressive season in the Czech top flight. His consistent form and eye for goal have caught the attention of the national selectors, who view him as an exciting long-term option for Ghana’s frontline.
Prince Osei Owusu, the German-born Ghanaian forward currently plying his trade with CF Montreal in Major League Soccer, also joins the squad for the first time. The 28-year-old developed through the VfB Stuttgart academy before enjoying spells with TSG Hoffenheim, Arminia Bielefeld, and TSV 1860 Munich in Germany. Known for his strength, hold-up play, and work ethic, Owusu’s impressive campaign in MLS has finally earned him a place in Otto Addo’s plans.
From the Ghana Premier League, Kelvin Nkrumah’s inclusion comes as no surprise. The talented Medeama SC winger has been one of the standout performers this season, contributing crucial goals and assists to his club’s strong start to the campaign. His dynamic dribbling and pace offer a new dimension to Ghana’s wide options.
The Black Stars will assemble in Nagoya, Japan, on Wednesday to begin their training camp ahead of the 2025 Kirin Cup opener against Japan on Friday, November 14, 2025, before facing South Korea four days later.
Coach Otto Addo has emphasized that the upcoming matches will serve as a key part of Ghana’s preparation for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, allowing new players to integrate and prove their readiness for the global stage.
These games are expected to offer a blend of experience and fresh energy as the Black Stars continue to build momentum ahead of next year’s major competitions.
