The Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources has unveiled plans for a nationwide campaign called the ‘Tree for Life Reaforestation Initiative 2025,’ aiming to plant 30 million tree seedlings across the country.
This ambitious project seeks to involve the entire public in restoring Ghana’s forest cover and combating environmental degradation.
According to the ministry, free seedlings will be available for collection from the Forestry Commission Head Office, Forest Services Divisions (FSD) Regional and District Offices, and other designated points nationwide from June 6 to June 30, 2025.
The ministry further stated that the actual tree planting will take place between June 5 and June 30, 2025, encouraging widespread participation in the effort.

This initiative consign the government’s commitment to sustainable environmental management and community involvement in protecting natural resources for future generations.
The project is in partnership with the Forestry Commission of Ghana.
