A video sighted by ABC News GH shows the lawmaker addressing the gathering when he appeared to become uneasy and gradually went silent.
Sosu, who had been speaking from the podium, appeared dizzy and momentarily stopped addressing the audience.
A lady and a gentleman in the audience quickly went to his aid after he appeared to become dizzy.
Moments later, the MP appeared to lose consciousness and collapsed into the arms of those around him.
Two men and a woman were seen supporting and carrying him away from the podium as people at the event moved in to assist.
The incident briefly interrupted the event as attention shifted to the MP as efforts were made to move him away from the speaking area.
The cause of the collapse remains unknown, with no further details on Sosu’s condition available at the time of publication.
Sosu, who represents the Madina Constituency, is a lawyer and a Member of Parliament who has been active in parliamentary and public affairs.
