John Dramani Mahama, the 2024 flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) began a five-day campaign tour of the Eastern Region on Monday, November 18.
The tour will take Mahama to all 33 constituencies in the region, as he engages with local communities and holds mini-rallies to outline the NDC’s vision for the future.
The initiative forms part of the party’s broader efforts to strengthen its grassroots presence and connect with voters ahead of the December general elections.
The campaign kicked off at the Nsawam Lorry Station in the Nsawam Adoagyiri constituency, where Mahama interacted with residents and presented the NDC’s flagship “24-hour economy” policy.
The policy promises to stimulate economic growth by promoting round-the-clock productivity and service delivery.
“The NDC is committed to creating a robust economy that works for everyone, no matter the time of day,” Mahama stated, emphasizing the importance of innovative solutions to address the country’s economic challenges.
During the tour, Mahama is also expected to rally support for a change in leadership, urging voters to place their confidence in the NDC for better governance.
His engagements will focus on listening to the concerns of residents and sharing the party’s plans for improving livelihoods.
“This tour is about building hope and reminding Ghanaians that a better future is possible,” Mahama noted.
