Former President John Dramani Mahama has emphasized the need for solidarity among comrades of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in anticipation of the party’s primaries.
The opposition NDC has scheduled its presidential and parliamentary elections for Saturday, May 13, to elect its candidates for the 2024 general elections.
Mr. Mahama, who is vying to represent the party, voiced his message of unity during his campaign tour of the Northern Region, specifically in Bimbilla.
“Everyone has his supporters, there’s no point saying this person supported the winning team, so we will stay aside. All of us are NDC, let’s support each other after the primaries,” Mr. Mahama advised.
Former president John Mahama, who served only one term, is vying for re-election after losing to Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in the general elections of 2016 and 2020.
