Dr. Peter Terkper, a renowned policy analyst, has expressed confidence in the feasibility of President John Dramani Mahama’s proposal to appoint sixty ministers in his government.
Speaking in an interview, Dr. Terkper explained that President Mahama’s wealth of experience in governance equips him with the necessary knowledge to manage such an appointment.
He emphasized that Mahama, having previously served as president, understands the complexities of government and would not suggest policies that are unfeasible.
“Mahama has been in government before, and if he says he will run with 60 ministers, that should mean that he really understands what he is talking about, unlike others who haven’t tasted the presidency before,” Dr. Terkper stated.
He further added, “But for Mahama, he has been there before, so Ghanaians will take him by his word and we will hope that it will go according to what he said he will do. It is doable.”
Dr. Terkper’s comments come in light of the 26 policies to be implemented within the first one hundred and twenty days of Mahama’s administration.
