The Ministry of Health has announced the commencement of a recruitment drive set to begin on Monday, 5th August 2024, at 12:00 noon. In a statement released to the media, the Ministry has outlined that qualified applicants are required to submit their applications through the Ministry’s online portal at hr.moh.gov.gh.
The deadline for submission is Friday, 23rd August 2024, at 6:00 pm.
In a bid to ensure a fair and transparent recruitment process, the Ministry has urged applicants to refrain from making any payments for assistance.
“The Ministry therefore advises all applicants not to make any payment for this process. Whoever pays money does so at his/her own risk,” the statement cautioned.
This recruitment initiative is part of the government’s broader strategy to bolster the healthcare workforce and enhance service delivery across the nation. The Ministry seeks the cooperation of all stakeholders to facilitate a smooth and efficient recruitment process.
Dr. Nsiah Asare, the Presidential Advisor on Health, highlighted that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s administration has successfully completed over 40 hospitals. He revealed that ten hospital projects inherited from the previous administration have been finalized.
In addition to constructing new medical facilities under the Agenda 111 health projects, Dr. Asare emphasized the government’s commitment to improving healthcare infrastructure by providing medical staff with specialized and sub-specialized training. This initiative aims to equip them to effectively address the healthcare needs at regional and district hospitals.
He announced the impending opening of 18 new district hospitals across the nation, stating that the majority of the Agenda 111 projects would soon be completed and operational. “This will support government efforts to give Ghanaians access to affordable, high-quality healthcare,” he affirmed.
