The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced that its 2024 election campaign will officially commence on Saturday, July 27, 2024, in Tamale, located in the Northern Region.
This announcement was made by the NDC’s flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, during the ‘Get Fit and Ready Mahama Walk’ in Accra on Saturday, July 20, 2024.
Mahama highlighted that the campaign will unfold across various regions in the country as the party seeks to build momentum leading up to the 2024 polls.
“The campaign is for all of us. It is not for Joshua Alabi, he is the campaign manager. It is not for your constituency campaign taskforces; it is not for your regional campaign taskforces. It is for every one of you. Any spare time you have, wear your T-shirts, we are going to send you leaflets and you go from house to house and distribute the leaflets to your neighbors and tell them the message of the NDC,” he stated.
He also urged party agents and executives to remain vigilant on election day to ensure a fair and transparent process, emphasizing the importance of protecting the ballot boxes and preventing any potential irregularities.
“On that day, you are not just going to vote and go home. You will wait and protect the ballot box. I don’t want to call agents or executives and your lines are switched off,” Mahama added.
