Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Member of Parliament for North Tongu, has announced that Ghana will establish a dedicated State Asset Ministry under a future John Dramani Mahama administration.
Speaking at the NDC’s manifesto launch in Winneba, Central Region, Ablakwa indicated that, this new ministry will be responsible for the effective management of all state assets, ensuring they are leveraged for the immense benefit of the nation and its citizens.
He emphasized that this move is part of a broader strategy to enhance transparency and accountability in the management of state resources.
In other developments, John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has unveiled his intention to launch the “Black Star Experience” if elected in the 2024 elections.
Mahama outlined his ambitious plans to rejuvenate the sports industry, promising significant reforms and development.
He pledged to reopen investigations into unresolved national cases, which have remained a source of concern for many Ghanaians.
Mahama’s speech highlighted the deep challenges facing the country, which he described as a “bleeding nation” due to cronyism, corruption, and economic hardships.
Addressing a large and enthusiastic crowd of party supporters, Mahama called on Ghanaians to vote for change in the upcoming elections, stressing the urgency of ending the current administration’s alleged impunity and mismanagement.
“Our dear nation Ghana is bleeding, Ghana’s soul is calling for change,” Mahama declared, urging citizens to act decisively in December 2024.
He assured that a vote for the NDC would signal the beginning of a new era, one free from the corruption and hardship that have plagued the nation in recent years.
“We cannot fail Mother Ghana,” he stressed, promising that under his leadership, the country would embark on a path toward a brighter future.
