The National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP) has directed all its staff not to report to work starting Monday, February 24, 2025, due to ongoing unresolved employment and salary payment issues.
In a memo issued on Friday, February 21, NEIP management emphasized that it is committed to adhering strictly to due process in regularizing staff employment to avoid further legal complications.
The memo also clarified that only specific staff members whose services are deemed essential may be called back to work once the issues are fully resolved.
In addition, the management has instructed staff members to return all property belonging to NEIP to the HR Officer by close of work on Tuesday, February 25, 2025.
Any staff found in possession of NEIP property after this deadline will face serious consequences, with the organization considering such actions as deliberate theft.
The directive has caused significant concern among the staff, as the future of their employment remains uncertain.
