Former Ashanti Regional Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dennis Kwakwa, has called on party delegates and supporters to use the upcoming National Delegates Conference as an opportunity to reflect deeply on the founding principles of the party.
In his appeal, Mr. Kwakwa said the event should not merely be seen as a leadership contest, but a moment for the NPP to reconnect with its roots and inspire the next generation.
“The value of the party… the young ones should educate themselves on that,” he urged.
Meanwhile, the Planning Committee for the conference has announced the implementation of strict entry protocols to ensure order and security during the highly anticipated event.
The Chairman of the Committee, Joseph Osei Owusu, revealed that nearly 6,000 accredited delegates are expected, with overall attendance projected to reach about 8,000.
He cautioned that only those with proper accreditation would be allowed access to the conference grounds.
“You may come to the precincts, but you may not be permitted to enter unless you have accreditation. We will be very strict on that,” he stated.
Mr. Osei Owusu further emphasized that the party is committed to maintaining order throughout the conference and will strictly enforce accreditation rules. “Let’s make that point very clear. You can only enter if you are accredited,” he stressed.
As preparations intensify, the call for introspection by Dennis Kwakwa and the organizational rigor by the Planning Committee are setting the tone for what could be a pivotal moment in the NPP’s political journey.
