Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Vice President and Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has pledged to introduce a growth mindset curriculum in schools if elected.
Speaking at the NPP’s manifesto launch in Takoradi, Bawumia emphasized the importance of instilling a mindset of possibilities in students from an early age.
“The mindset of possibilities must be inculcated into our children from homes and our schools,” Bawumia stated.
He explained that the curriculum will focus on critical skills such as problem solving, risk taking, opportunity spotting, and design thinking.
Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the party’s running mate, defended Bawumia against corruption allegations, highlighting that the Vice President has never been accused or investigated for corruption, in stark contrast to opposition leader John Mahama.
Prempeh’s defense comes as the NPP intensifies its campaign, aiming to enhance Bawumia’s reputation and underline the party’s commitment to transparency and progress.
The manifesto launch also showcased the NPP’s achievements and future goals, including advancements in digitization, job creation, and the overhaul of national systems.
Dennis Miracles Aboagye, Director of Communications for the Bawumia campaign, underscored the party’s record of creating 2.1 million jobs and framed the upcoming election as a crucial decision between the NPP’s proven success and their rivals’ promises.
