Prince Sadat, Administrator of the NPP Youth Wing, has assured that the party’s 2024 manifesto on Sunday will be tailored to address the aspirations of Ghana’s youth.
Speaking on ABC News Ghana on Friday, he explained that “We should expect a manifesto that will give hope to the youth of Ghana. For ours is the youth. NPP is the only party that,” he said, highlighting the party’s consistent success in youth-dominated areas.
Citing 2020 election data, Sadat emphasized the NPP’s strong performance in youthful constituencies, particularly on university campuses.
“In 2020 data, out of 108 campus polling stations, NPP won 76 and NDC winning 32. If you look at the population of Ghana, we have the youthful population in excess of 11.7 million people who are on the voters roll that are youth,” he noted.
Sadat also revealed that the upcoming manifesto would include ambitious plans to create one million jobs for young people, particularly in areas such as coding and digitalization.
“We are looking [at] the manifesto that is seeking to create 1 million jobs for the youth. Especially in place[s] that are not comfortable zones for us…the NPP will create a million jobs for the youth,” he added.
