Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has urged calm and focus following Ghana’s placement in Group L of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, stressing that his team will approach the tournament with discipline and respect for every opponent.
According to him, Ghana’s success will depend heavily on preparation and mindset.
“We will take it match by match. We want to win every match, that’s for sure,” Otto Addo said.
He believes a strong opening performance could set the tone for Ghana’s campaign.
“Once we get a good start, then anything is possible. On a good day, we can beat everyone,” he added.
However, the coach warned against complacency, noting that every team in the group including Panama can pose a threat if not taken seriously.
“But I also know that we can lose against all the teams, including Panama, if we underrate them,” he cautioned.
Otto Addo emphasized that Ghana’s technical team will leave nothing to chance.
“We have to be prepared well. We will prepare ourselves well. We will study the last games of every team and examine their strengths and weaknesses.”
The Black Stars will face England, Croatia and Panama in what many analysts consider one of the tournament’s most competitive groups.
