Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, the Minister of Works and Housing and Member of Parliament for Ofease Ayerebi, is daring the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to substantiate the existence of “so-called Progressive Free SHS.”
During an interview on Okay FM, Oppong Nkrumah specifically challenged the party to identify individuals who have benefited from this alleged policy, questioning its very existence and credibility.
The Minister did not hold back in his criticism of NDC’s flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, stating that Mahama had previously opposed the Free SHS initiative, which was implemented in 2017.
Oppong Nkrumah emphasized that Mahama’s recent assertions about having introduced a “Progressive Free SHS” are misleading.
He directly urged Ghanaians who have supposedly benefitted from this policy to come forward and dispel what he labeled as Mahama’s lies, asserting that “he does not believe in Free SHS, and he will bring it down.”
Since its inception in 2017, the Akuffo Addo Free SHS program has positively impacted the lives of 5.7 million children across the nation, providing them with vital educational opportunities and transforming their futures.
