Parliament has unanimously approved all four Deputy Ministerial nominees appointed by President John Dramani Mahama.
This decision followed the presentation of a report by the Appointments Committee, in line with Article 79(1) of the 1992 Constitution and Order 217 of the Standing Orders of Parliament.
According to the Committee, each nominee demonstrated competence, relevant professional experience, and readiness to serve.
The approved nominees include Dorcas Affo-Toffey as Deputy Minister for Transport, James Gyakye Quayson for Foreign Affairs, Mohammed Adams Sukparu for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, and Prof. Grace Ayensu-Danquah for Health.
The President nominated the individuals on July 9, 2025, with a formal letter announcing their submission to Parliament for consideration.
Following their vetting on July 25, the Appointments Committee gave a positive assessment, leading to the consensus approval by the House.
