Former Board Chairman of the Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL), Paul Adom-Otchere, has confirmed appearing before the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) on Wednesday, July 31, 2025, as part of an investigation into alleged corruption and corruption-related offences linked to a contract awarded by GACL to a private firm.
A letter from the OSP dated July 25 formally identified Adom-Otchere as a suspect in the ongoing probe.
Speaking on his current affairs programme Good Evening Ghana, Adom-Otchere firmly denied any wrongdoing, stating that he is confident in the integrity of his actions and is ready to fully cooperate with investigators.
He defended his tenure at GACL, emphasizing that all decisions made under his leadership were in accordance with the law and proper procurement procedures.
Adom-Otchere also directed criticism at investigative journalist Manasseh Azure Awuni, accusing him of stoking public mistrust with what he described as biased and misleading commentary about the matter.
Without mentioning specifics, he implied that Manasseh’s reporting had created unnecessary pressure around the investigation and contributed to what he views as a distorted public narrative.
