Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, Samuel Abu Jinapor, has urged all public institutions to ensure that lands granted to them are used strictly for the intended purposes.
Speaking during the ‘State of Ghana’s Public Lands’ address hosted by the Ministry of Information today, he emphasized the need for compliance with land use regulations.
“A series of letters and correspondences have been written to all public institutions to utilize public lands granted them for the purposes of which they were granted only and not to create any third-party interest in such lands without the express written approval of the president through his minister responsible for lands,” Jinapor stated.
The Minister’s address comes amid growing concerns about the misuse of public lands.
Jinapor stressed that the government remains committed to ensuring that public lands are managed responsibly to serve the nation’s best interests.
