Courage Makafui Nunekpeku, Managing Director of TDC Ghana Limited, has initiated legal proceedings against Kweku Baako Media Limited, the Editor-in-Chief of The New Crusading Guide, M’Ideas Group, and Roger A. Agana over what he describes as defamatory publications.
The writ, filed on September 10, 2025, seeks to restrain the defendants, their agents, or assigns from publishing or causing to be published any further statements deemed defamatory against him.
In addition to a perpetual injunction, Nunekpeku is demanding general, aggravated, and/or exemplary damages, alongside an order compelling the defendants to issue an unqualified apology and retraction with equal prominence in The New Crusading Guide newspaper and on the websites thenewcrusadingguideonline.com and newsghana.com.gh.
He is also seeking costs, including solicitor’s fees, and any other orders the court may consider appropriate.
The legal action was filed by Samora Cann, Esq. of Machel Stanley Corporate & Commercial Lawyers.
The case stems from publications alleging that the TDC boss was involved in a land-grabbing scandal.
According to the writ, the defendants have been commanded to enter an appearance within eight days of being served or risk judgment in default.
