The former Public Relations Officer for the Ministry of Works and Housing and Member on the NPP communications team, Manasseh Atta Boahene, has stated that various assemblies must demonstrate stronger political will, enhance law enforcement practices, and create public awareness.
“We all have to help in the effort in developing the country by ensuring that we need to bring some sanctity on our roads and even on our footbridges.”
Speaking on ABCin the morning show, he said, this will ensure that those selling on pavements and footbridges understand that they are not permitted to do so, as there are designated areas allocated for such activities.
“If care is not taken we will be witnessing instances were most of these bridges will be loosing their significance.”
“I believe the Assemblies will have to demonstrate some more political will. They need to put in place more law enforcement practices and also to create the awareness amongst the traders selling on our footbridges,” he concluded.
This follows the Presidents plan to decongest the capital and create some more cities in the Country.
