Gender activist Bernice Naah has challenged the government to fulfill its commitment to gender inclusivity by ensuring more women are appointed to leadership roles.
Speaking on ABC IN THE MORNING ahead of International Women’s Day, she emphasized that Ghana has many capable women ready to take up key positions.
“This is not going to be a political wheel by the government, and the president has this opportunity to do that for us at this time,” she asserted.
Bernice called on the government to move beyond rhetoric and implement meaningful policies that promote women’s participation in governance.
She insisted that there should be no excuse for failing to appoint women, as many qualified candidates exist but remain overlooked.
