Managing Director of Vivo Energy Ghana (Shell Licensee), Mr. Christian Li, has called on customers to adopt sustainable habits by reducing single-use plastics.
Speaking during a customer engagement event at the Airport Shell service station in Accra to mark World Environment Day, Mr. Li emphasized the urgent need for collective action in addressing the plastic waste crisis.
“Our purpose here today is together – with you – to make a conscious decision to reduce plastic use, starting with this reusable bottle,” Mr. Li stated while distributing eco-friendly glass bottles to customers.

“Let it be a symbol of our commitment to protecting our environment. Together, through small daily actions, we can create a lasting impact and build a cleaner, greener Ghana for future generations.”
The initiative forms part of Vivo Energy Ghana’s broader environmental campaign aimed at promoting practical, sustainable living. Staff from the company also engaged customers on the importance of reusing containers, recycling, and avoiding single-use plastics.

The campaign aligns with this year’s World Environment Day theme, “Beat Plastic Pollution”, and supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) and SDG 13 (Climate Action).
