Former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has pledged to restore the appointments of individuals who lost their jobs following the change of government in 2024.
“We will restore the appointments of those who lost their jobs when there was a change of government,” he said.
Addressing party faithful at the NPP headquarters during his nomination filing today, he emphasized that his leadership would heal divisions within the system.
“I will not do anything to create a problem for the NPP, I embody unity,” he reiterated, pointing to his vision of building an inclusive party and government.
He further called on members to put an end to internal wrangling and focus on strengthening the party’s electoral chances. “Stop the internal attacks now, don’t lecture us about how blue your blood is, let your actions show. Our true opponent is not within but out there,” Dr. Bawumia stressed.
Mr. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, MP for Ofoase/Ayirebi, has also expressed strong support for Dr. Bawumia’s candidature, describing him as the NPP’s most prepared aspirant.
According to him, the Vice President’s track record and character values place him as the strongest option to lead the party to victory in 2028.
