The Member of Parliament for Bosome Freho, Nana Kwame Asafo Adjei, has stated that the minority will not engage with the committee set up by the Speaker to probe the chaos that ensued during the appointment committee proceeding.
He explained that the minority had previously agreed to cooperate with the majority to ensure the smooth operation of both government and parliamentary affairs, which led to certain issues being overlooked.
Speaking on ABC in the morning, Adjei emphasized that all parliamentary committees must be properly constituted, or else it won’t regard any interim committee.
He made these comments in reference to the Speaker’s Committee, which has been tasked with investigating the incident in Parliament that led to the suspension of four MPs. He called for Parliament to adhere to proper procedures and follow the rules.
