A family in the Juaboso District of the Western North Region is appealing for public support after a woman successfully delivered quadruplets four baby boys at the Juaboso Government Hospital.
The babies were delivered through a Caesarean section on June 3 after their mother was referred from Enchi Government Hospital due to the high-risk nature of her pregnancy.
Speaking to the media, Principal Midwifery Officer at the maternity ward of Juaboso Government Hospital, Francisca Aidoo, said the expectant mother was transferred to the facility because specialized care was required.

According to her, the mother spent more than a month at the hospital under close medical supervision before doctors successfully carried out the operation.
“The pregnancy required intensive monitoring. She was referred to us from Enchi because there was the need for specialist attention. After weeks of observation and care, our team successfully delivered the four babies through a Caesarean section,” Madam Aidoo explained.
The quadruplets are currently receiving medical care at the hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), where health professionals are closely monitoring their progress.
Madam Aidoo described the delivery as a significant achievement for the hospital but noted that caring for four newborn babies at the same time presents enormous financial and logistical challenges for the family.
She appealed to individuals, corporate organizations, philanthropists, religious groups, and the general public to come to the aid of the family.
“These babies will need a lot of support, including diapers, baby clothing, food items, medicines and financial assistance. We are appealing to the public to support the family in any way possible,” she said.
The midwifery officer disclosed that hospital staff have been assisting the family since they arrived at the facility. However, she noted that the father of the babies is a farmer with limited financial means and already has other children to support.
“The burden is heavy on the family. The father is doing his best, but the demands of caring for four newborns at once are overwhelming. Any support from the public will go a long way,” she added.
The father of the quadruplets, Suami Yiri Allah, also made an emotional appeal for assistance.
Describing the birth of the four boys as both a blessing and a challenge, he said the family is struggling financially after spending more than a month at the hospital.
“I am grateful to God for the safe delivery of my children, but the responsibility is huge. We need support to care for them. We appeal to the public to help us with baby items, food and financial assistance,” he pleaded.

The family expressed appreciation to the doctors, nurses and staff of Juaboso Government Hospital for their dedication and care throughout the pregnancy and delivery.
They also thanked well-wishers who have already offered support and appealed to Ghanaians to continue extending assistance as they begin the journey of caring for the four newborn boys.
