The Deputy Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Mustapha Gbande, has dared the Electoral Commissioner Jean Mensah to conduct any form of re-collation.
According to him, the EC has demonstrated nothing but failure throughout the electoral process.
“We need Ghana to be peaceful.”
“The inconsistencies on her (Jean Mensah) path is enough to demonstrate classical incompetence doing anything possible to render this country chaotic.”
“I am daring Akufo-Addo and the EC, they should try the recollection. They will do it in the sky.”
“I am advising the NPP, that they have lost and if they have any basis to dispute the result that have been declared, they should go to court.”
“The mere rhetoric of allegation … without basis that EC Officers were at gun point is a lie and without any fact.”
His comment follows the announcement by the EC Chairperson Jean Mensa, on the Commission’s decision to re-collate results in some nine disputed constituencies.
Briefing the media on Thursday, December 19, she called on President Akufo-Addo to provide the Commission with adequate security to engage in this re-collation exercise.
