The Member of Parliament for Assin South, Rev. John Ntim Fordjour, has fired a warning at the government over attempts to silence opposition voices.
Speaking to the media at Parliament, Fordjour insisted that any effort to intimidate the minority will only strengthen their resolve and increase their vocal criticism.
“If their objective is to silence and intimidate us, then the more they try, the more vocal the minority will become,” he declared, signaling a firm stance against government pressure.
Fordjour’s comments come as political tensions rise, with the minority determined to continue exposing government lapses and holding the ruling party accountable.
He emphasized that intimidation tactics will not deter opposition members from performing their constitutional role.
“We refuse to be intimidated,” Fordjour said, highlighting the importance of robust democracy and fearless parliamentary scrutiny as parliament has returned from recess.
