The National Women’s Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Hanna Louisa Bissiw, was represented by Betty Krosbi Mensah at a high-level women’s empowerment and mentorship training programme organised by Lead Afrique International in Accra.
The programme brought together women from across the country to receive training, mentorship, and leadership development aimed at strengthening their participation in governance and decision-making processes.

Speaking during a panel discussion, Hon. Betty Krosbi Mensah shared her experiences in politics and encouraged women to build confidence, adequately prepare themselves, and actively pursue leadership opportunities that influence national development.
According to her, effective governance can only be achieved when both men and women are given equal opportunities to contribute to leadership and decision-making at all levels of society.
She stressed that empowering women remains essential to building stronger communities and promoting national growth, adding that women must continue to support one another through mentorship and capacity-building initiatives.
The event formed part of efforts by Lead Afrique International to equip women with the necessary political, leadership, and personal development skills to increase female representation in leadership positions across the country.
