Hon. Mrs. Seyram Betty Krosbi Mensah has paid a courtesy call on the National Chief Imam, His Eminence Sheikh Dr. Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, to officially inform him of her decision to contest for the position of National Women’s Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), subject to the opening of nominations by the party.
During the visit, Hon. Krosbi Mensah sought the Chief Imam’s blessings, prayers, and wise counsel as she embarks on the journey.
She described His Eminence as “a true ambassador of peace, unity, tolerance, and national cohesion” whose leadership continues to inspire Ghanaians across all faiths and backgrounds.
“I expressed my profound appreciation to His Eminence for the immense role he has played, and continues to play, in promoting peace, stability, and national development,” she stated. “At a time when our country and political parties need responsible leadership, dialogue, tolerance, and unity, his counsel remains invaluable.”
The aspiring National Women’s Organizer said her bid is about more than an election.
“As a woman seeking the mandate to lead the NDC National Women’s Wing, I firmly believe that our women must be empowered, united, respected, and given greater opportunities to contribute meaningfully to the growth of our party and the development of Ghana. This journey is about service, inclusion, empowerment, unity, and building a stronger women’s wing for the future of our party.”
His Eminence Sheikh Dr. Osman Nuhu Sharubutu received the delegation, listened to their vision, and offered words of encouragement and prayers.
“We receive the prayers with humility and faith, trusting God to guide our steps and grant us wisdom, strength, and success,” Hon. Krosbi Mensah said.
She concluded by praying that Allah grants the National Chief Imam long life, good health, wisdom, and strength to continue serving the nation.
