John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has called on Ghanaians to vote against the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the upcoming 2024 general elections.
Speaking at the NDC’s manifesto launch in Winneba, Central Region, Mahama painted a grim picture of the country’s current state, describing Ghana as a “bleeding country” in desperate need of change.
He emphasized that the nation is suffering under the weight of cronyism, corruption, and economic hardships, all of which he attributed to the NPP government.
Addressing the crowd of party supporters, Mahama urged Ghanaians to vote for transformation and promised that their votes would mark the end of the current administration’s impunity and mismanagement.
“Our dear nation Ghana is bleeding, Ghana’s soul is calling for change. Mother Ghana is crying for its true, genuine, and patriotic citizens to rise and reset our beloved nation,” Mahama declared.
He concluded by expressing his determination to lead the charge for change, stating, “We cannot fail Mother Ghana, and I therefore urge all to vote for change in December 2024. Your vote will end cronyism, corruption, and hardship.”
