A police officer was killed, and two others severely injured in an armed robbery attack in Kwame Peprakrom, a town in the Upper Denkyira East Municipality.
The tragic incident occurred in the early hours of September 28, 2024, when the police patrol team was ambushed by the robbers between 12am and 1am.
The deceased officer, identified as Evans, was a member of the Dunkwa Divisional Police Headquarters Armory.
According to Adom News, the patrol team was on a routine operation when they came under sudden attack from the armed men.
The two other officers, who were critically wounded in the attack, were quickly transported to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital for emergency treatment.
Authorities are yet to make any arrests, but investigations have been launched to apprehend the perpetrators.
The police have vowed to bring the criminals to justice as they mourn the loss of their colleague.
